Home safety in the sunshine

Whilst spending time in your garden carrying out jobs or maintenance, it is important to remain aware of home security.  Offenders will often take advantage of open or unsecured doors and windows, particularly when they believe occupants are distracted nearby.

Before heading outside, please ensure all external doors are locked and all windows are fully closed or secured on a safety catch.  Even short periods of time can be enough for an opportunist to gain access.

We also recommend keeping keys, wallets, and mobile phones out of sight, and locking side gates where possible to restrict access to the rear of the property.  Simple precautions such as these can significantly reduce the risk of burglary and help keep your home safe.
